The position of database analyst is also often referred to as business analyst. It encompasses a wide range of analytical skills.

1. First, you must be able to analyze large amounts of data. Some databases of hundreds of gigabytes and millions of rows of information.

2. Know how to use SQL, Oracle, Mysql, or any of the other large database engines.

3. Know how to use reporting software such as Crystal Reports.

4. Like most other jobs, you must have a keen sense of problem solving.

5. While not essential, it is helpful to know a programming language such as PHP or C++.

6. As a database analyst you must be able to articulate and present your findings coherently.

7. Know how to use spreadsheet software such and Microsoft Excel or Open Office.

8. Knowing how to research problems is a key factor in the success of many in the IT field and it is no different for a database analyst.

9.Be patient. You will no doubt have to encounter users on a daily basis and having the patience to deal with them will go a long way in your career.

IT Project Consultant (Change and release management)

The candidate will define, publish, maintain, and communicate release schedule across all markets in Asia Pacific & Africa Region in coordination with the vendor. He/She will also be responsible for defining the policies and procedures for the release management process and the source control system. This person should have enough functional experience in project management to understand the components of the release and how their technical complexity will affect the release schedule and risk.

Job Scopes

• Manage and drive change & release for in-house software developed and maintained by an outsourcing company.
• Drive the release planning process and come up with best practices for the organization.
• Determine  the readiness of each release based on release criteria (quality of release, production environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and black-out plans, and risk management plan).
• Work closely with local operation team of each country in Asia Pacific region for planning, managing, and implementing releases from request to successful closure.
• Work closely with develop and maintenance vendor to continuously improve the release processes, communication and delivery of fixed time projects in multiple locations.

• Data entry & filing.
• Preparation of accounting schedules, journals and vouchers.
• Process staff claims and payments to suppliers/vendors.
• Assist in financial reporting.

Logistics Specialist ($2200 $2500)

• Chinese female, 20-30 y/o, Singaporean or PR.
• Diploma holder in relevant field (eg supply chain mgmt).
• Report to the Finance & Administration Manager.
• Min 2 yrs logistics coordination, order forecast and inventory control experience (with the same company).
• Positive attitude, committed, respect deadlines, faster learner and independent worker.
• Able to communicate well (with Asian and European colleagues).

Job scope & responsibilities:

• Order forecast (consolidation of multiple distributors’ and affiliates’ orders to meet MOQ).
• Logistics mgmt & coordination (between company, distributors, subsidiaries, suppliers, plants, forwarders, custom, insurance agents etc).
• Inventory control (tracking safety stock level, MOH, stock movements, COGS/SP issues and balances etc).
• Preparation and data entry of sales & purchase documents (eg sales invoice, supplier invoice, purchase order, sales order, delivery order, credit note, debit note etc)
• Coordination of re-dressing and verification of all relevant costs.
