Project Manager

Job Scope

Has overall responsibility to the client for the delivery of project and acts as prime interface to the client. Will maintain and review with the client:

  • Project plan
  • Progress
  • Change management
  • Issue management
  • Problem management
  • Risk management

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Update detailed project task plans, which effectively integrate the needed inputs and outputs from each of the support groups into a logical, efficient chain of events resulting in deliverables meeting contractual objectives. Re-plan as needed to meet unforeseen difficulties.
  • Organize and lead Development Team to foster and promote Concurrent Engineering and TQM initiatives on all assigned programs.
  • Evaluate technical, schedule, and cost progress on all projects assigned. Verify that everything occurs in conformity with the plans adopted, including the control of each of the subsystems and their integration into a total effort to accomplish the project’s schedule and technical objectives within cost. Focal point for all in-house project liaisons.
  • Prepare monthly reports, final reports and other contract requirements associated with the completion of projects.
  • Provide central engineering support to the project (i.e., UAT sign-off etc.).
  • Coordinate for approval with detailed Functional & Technical specifications, test plans, and functional design to assure project requirements are met.
  • Participate in technical briefings, negotiations with customers.
  • Directs projects and coordinates work of solution Architect, Software, Hardware, administrative staff. · Independently directs projects and coordinates project deliveries with clients, and supervises and coordinates the work of solution Architect, Software, Hardware, administrative staff.
  • Use the project methodology to implement solutions to address client project business objectives and priorities as they relate to Supply Chain Management. Review design specification of upcoming software releases, especially those areas specifically targeted to client’s needs.
  • Ensure that solution design and delivery is consistent with business objectives of the project, and employ best practices.
  • Directs and coordinates the Systems Studies, Design Engineering, Administration, Procurement, Installation, Training and Commissioning activities of the Project in accordance with the requirements of the project schedule.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Mechatronics or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience in managing projects
  • Preferably having industry experience at least one of these areas :
    1. Material Management Systems
    (material tracking in warehousing operations, materials handling, distribution, materials storage, inventory, functional programming, engineering the movement of people, etc)
    2. Work-in-process tracking
    3. Field and Service Application
    4. Time and Attendance Tracking (employee tracking, job tracking, labor tracking and shop floor information tracking)
    5. Process and Document tracking
    6. Smart card applications
