• Academic Criteria & Professional Certification
• Has a Diploma / Degree in IT discipline
• Preferably, attained MCSE and Sun Certified System Administrator certification

Experience and Technical Skills Set

• At least 2 years experience in system administration and support on Unix systems (eg. Sun Solaris, Linux) and Microsoft Windows systems
• Experience with enterprise backup and management software, such as Veritas Netbackup and system monitoring and management tools
• Able to write scripts in both Unix and Windows-based environment to automate tasks

• Familiar with data center operations

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration in a heterogeneous environment comprising of Sun Solaris Servers and Windows-based Servers
• Implement operating system and product-specific security hardening & patches
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning
• Work in a team to implement the underlying processes supporting IT service management, such as configuration management and incident & problem management
• Provide system support to internal and external customers in a timely manner
