Suppose you’re on a game show, and you’re given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a Ferrari; behind the others, smelly goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what’s behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat. He then says to you, “Do you want to pick door No. 2?” Is it to your advantage to switch your choice? Give yourself some serious probability thinking before going for the answer!

Answer: One should choose to switch! Almost 100% of high IQ people (which we are all, aren’t we? ) will choose not to switch. Here’s the reasoning, one should view it as 3 scenarios play as self explanatory graphically here. Switching doubles the probability of winning the car from 1/3 to 2/3!
